Job Description:

To assist with responding to queries from schools/parents/young people regarding progress with EHCP assessments.

To assist team members with specific administrative tasks to support the timely assessment of children and young people with EHCPS, including the preparation of documentation for issuing final plans, consulting for places with schools, preparation of documentation for SEN Panel.

To assist with the co-ordination of annual reviews, including monitoring all incoming annual reviews, logging them on Synergy and distributing to the casework team.

To produce accurate records and documents including: emails, letters, files, payments, reports and trigger notification, proposals. Make recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management. Draft correspondence, write reports and be able to review others' work.

Support the administration of the annual phase transition process for children moving between key stages and education settings.

Use a high level of initiative to prioritise duties and work creatively to develop and deliver a high-quality service to users.

To exercise proactivity and good judgement. Make effective decisions based on sound reasoning and is able to deal with challenges in a mature way. Seeks advice of more experienced team members when appropriate.

To assist with acting as the first point of contact for EHCP related enquiries and offering advice and support on applications to the Service for statutory assessment, as well as ongoing casework management, liaising where necessary with the appropriate EHC Coordinator or manager.
