Business Support Officer

Contract role: 3 - 6 months contract with chance of extension.

Hatched Recruitment is working closely with the local authorities and we are looking for a Business Support Officer in the Havering area. Basic DBS required, please apply if you have a DBS.

The key objectives are to:

* Provide an administration service to various components of the Neighbourhoods Directorate, primarily for Public Protection (Environmental Health, Trading Standards)

* Maintain, update and quality assure various IT systems and records, ensuring consistency, accuracy and quality of data. Including data input, updating document management systems and ensuring legislative time constraints are met.

* Prioritise workload in the face of competing demands and pressurised working environment, often supporting multiple front line teams and projects.

* Provide high quality self-directed administrative support, checking own work and proactively looking to raise standards and improve consistency across the team.

* Maintain awareness of wider issues and changes which may impact upon the daily support needs of the directorate.

* To liaise where appropriate with external bodies and government agencies in respect of service provision as required.

* Contribute to the development of the Business Services Team 'service offer', creating a professional environment, and future-proofing administrative and support services.

* Work in a fast paced, multi-function environment.

* Although the role is primarily to work remotely, there is a need to have a flexible approach and to attend the office in Romford each week, and as and when required.
