Venn Group is working with a brilliant local authority in the South East in their pursuit of a Democratic Services Officer on a temporary basis for an initial 3-month period.Requirements:

• Experience working as a democratic services officer in a public sector organisation or local authority
• Experience working in school admission appeals is essential
• Experience with smaller sized councils would be advantageous

 Duties/Responsibilities:

• Supporting the Democratic Services Lead with all levels of support
• Help ease the backlog of school admission appeals the council has

• Mentoring and training less experienced team members
• Deputising for senior members of the legal team when necessary
