We are seeking a Document Controller to join a leading main contractor specialising in construction projects. This role involves working closely with the project team across various London sites and requires travel between them. The position is office-based with no current option for hybrid or remote working.
Day-to-day of the role:- Set up and maintain an efficient document management system using Deltek.
- Support the project team to ensure documents are updated, tracked, and recorded appropriately.
- Update, maintain, archive, and retrieve procedures, registers, trackers, and databases.
- Train project team in using the document control system
- Be the go to "super user" for any queries
- Assist in creating reports and technical documents.
- Manage and control the circulation of information.
- Proven experience as a Document Controller, preferably within the construction, rail, or civil engineering industry.
- Previous experience using Deltek document control system (or similar) is essential.
- Ability to manage time effectively as you will be working across a number of sites.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office and document management software.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with various project teams.
