  • Job Type: Part- time – 22.2 hours per week/ 3 days – Tuesday, Thursday, Friday.

The Greater London Authority are looking to recruit a Project Support Officer to join the Careers team, within the Skills and Employment Unit.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Participate in and take responsibility for specific workstreams in projects/programmes related to skills and employment.
  • Conduct research, fact-finding, and analysis to support the team’s work and assist in the development of relevant performance indicators and management information systems.
  • Produce, maintain, and distribute project/programme documentation such as risk logs, issue logs, action lists, requirements logs, project plans, and programme prospectus.
  • Track, monitor, and manage project/programme actions against targets, addressing project issues and undertaking necessary follow-up or remedial actions.
  • Generate communication and reports to track and report on project/programme progress.
  • Organize meetings, manage meeting logistics, produce necessary documentation, and follow up on actions agreed upon.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders including London Councils, boroughs, representative bodies of the skills sector, business, and other key partners to maintain excellent working relationships.
  • Coordinate, manage, and plan consultation and stakeholder events and communications activities.
  • Handle financial administrative tasks such as raising purchase orders and completing goods received notices to ensure timely delivery of services.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable experience in project/programme support.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to meet demanding deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Minute taking experience is essential.
  • Experience in skills and employment policy or practice is desirable.
