If yes, Signature Recruitment is looking for a Research Administrator to join our client, a Higher Education establishment in London. This is a part-time role of 17.5 hours a week with an immediate start for a three-month contract with the possibility of an extension. This role is offered with hybrid flexibility but the postholder would need to work some hours on Wednesdays and Thursdays and be on campus on Wednesdays.

The Research Administrator will work with the team providing general administrative support, including managing research output data and compiling data in spreadsheets for analysis and running reports. In addition, you will manage the Teams Inbox and triage queries for students as well as undertaking some secretarial duties and other ad hoc administrative duties to assist the team.

Research Administrator Key Responsibilities:

  • General administration duties to support and help a busy team with a current high workload
  • Managing Inboxes, assisting with student queries, triaging and signposting as necessary
  • Running research output data, compiling data into spreadsheets providing overview, data analysis and producing reports
  • Secretarial responsibilities include scheduling meetings, circulating documents, and taking minutes as required
  • Confidently able to work with research publications
  • Other administrative tasks to support the team and wider university

Research Administrator Key Skills:

  • Higher Education administration with an understanding of the student lifecycle and research in the context of the higher education sector
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional customer service
  • A strong level of organisation and time management
  • Highly proficient IT skills - confidence working with complex data sets and university databases
