I am seeking a Research Finance Administrator to join my client specialising in Post-Award financial administration for research and innovation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Post-Award administration, ensuring compliance with funding rules and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and support the costing and financial approval of staff appointments.
  • Provide proactive support to research teams, ensuring that funder terms and conditions are understood and disseminated appropriately.

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Proven knowledge of Post-Award administration procedures, funding regulations, and financial processes.
  • Experience with financial database systems and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Experience in costing and approving research and innovation staff appointments.

Desirable experience:

  • Experience of working with internal and external auditors

  • Knowledge of Oracle Grants and Worktribe

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills to work effectively with various stakeholders. to work effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Advanced IT skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, Microsoft Office, and Outlook.
  • Strong numeracy skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Expertise in data analysis and financial reconciliation.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate financial data clearly.
  • Proven organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong customer service skills with a commitment to providing a professional and efficient support service.
  • Ability to act on initiative and proactively suggest solutions.
  • Ability to stay informed of funder terms and conditions and communicate updates effectively.
