Safeguarding officer Required for a School in Ealing

At Engage Education Services, we’ve specialised in recruiting education staff for over a decade. We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic Safeguarding Support Officer to work full-time at a School based in West Ealing.

Our team has built an excellent reputation in the local area, and we’re looking for more high-quality office staff to work with these schools.

Our Engage Education Services team specialises in the placement of non classroom based staff including Administrators, HR, Finance and Facilities.

About the role

  • To manage an identified caseload of students who have safeguarding needs or child protection needs
  • To investigate safeguarding concerns raised and risk assess to determine the next course of action.
  • To contribute centrally to the development of an enhanced culture of safety with students feeling safe and adopting safe practices.
  • To communicate effectively with other staff within the school, when necessary, to ensure that children and young people are well cared for, and appropriate information is shared in a timely manner
  • To deliver effective safeguarding training programmes targeted at different groups of staff appropriate to their roles in liaison with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)/Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL).
  • To oversee the smooth running of the school’s online safeguarding and wellbeing solution (currently CPOMS)
  • To deputise for the DSL in appropriate and agreed circumstances

The ideal applicant will have

  • Experience of working in a busy school or college environment.
  • A real passion for working within an education environment.
  • Experience utilising SIMS (School Information Management System) within an administrative role.
