We are looking to appoint a full-time School Secretary at our popular co-ed school in the heart of Notting Hill to join a highly committed, friendly and passionate team.

The successful candidate will have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and have good organisational and administrative skills.At the centre of everything that goes on in school, duties will be varied, including looking after the childrens needs, supporting colleagues and parents and being the first point of call for all visitors.Good personal presentation, a friendly disposition and a willingness to participate in school life are considered important qualities for this position.

The role will also include other additional administrative responsibilities which will be tailored to the interests of the successful candidate.

Previous school experience is not essential but the candidate must have excellent written English and strong secretarial, organisational and computer skills.

The salary will be circa £25,000 per annum, depending on experienceplusan additional responsibility allowance as appropriate.We offer free school lunches and 6 weeks' holiday to be taken in school holidays.

Qualifications/Experience:

Bachelor's Degree - Desirable/Not essential

A-level's or Equivalent

GCSE'S or Equivalent

Knowledge Understanding and Skills:

Ability to work with a range of people with the aim of ensuring the safety and welfare of children

Excellent record keeping skills and attention to detail, in order to produce reports, take minutes of meetings, and produce documents.

Excellent time management skills

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to build effective working relationships with staff and other stakeholders

High level of competency in ICT (Email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to demonstrate sound organisational skills, work under pressure and prioritise to meet deadlines

Knowledge of safeguarding within schools

Understanding of dealing with sensitive data and upholding the principles of confidentiality
