If so, Signature Recruitment is currently seeking a Student Experience Officer to join our client, a prestigious London university. This is a temporary, full-time position with an immediate start for four months. It is offered with a hybrid working structure of a minimum of two days on campus and three days from home and there may be some evening work to support events.

As a Student Experience Officer, you will become an integral part of the Student Experience & Support team. In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of various student-focused initiatives. Your responsibilities will include organising and delivering a range of large-scale community events, such as quiz nights, a ball, and other social activities and events. In addition, you will help lead and deliver the student mentoring programme and engage with student societies, supporting, profiling and celebrating student endeavours. Your personable, positive and proactive connection with students will directly influence the quality of their experience at the university.

Student Experience Officer Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the organisation of social activities and events which build community and develop a sense of belonging
  • Support event logistics, including venue booking, catering arrangements, organising speakers and coordination with external suppliers
  • Manage the undergraduate student mentor programme which supports first year transition
  • Play an active role in highlighting achievements of students sharing this information with communications and marketing teams, contributing to student newsletters, social media
  • Attend committee meetings and forums as requested, representing the Student Experience team
  • Other administrative duties to assist the team including assisting with the organisation of rotas, absence and performance for Student Receptionists

Student Experience Officer Key Skills:

  • Strong administrative experience in an educational setting and an understanding of the student lifecycle. Demonstrable experience in event management and coordination
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, a 'people person’ who can engage effectively with students and colleagues
  • Personable and proactive with innovative thinking and the ability work calmly in a busy environment with good time management
  • Highly proficient in IT skills. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and event management platforms/software
