Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an ASC Placement Officer for a Local Authority Client based in North London.

In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and negotiating cost-effective care services that meet individual needs, ensuring compliance with contracts and contributing to the overall quality and efficiency of Adult Social Care provision.

About the role:

You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:

  • Source appropriate care services based on individual assessments provided by key workers, ensuring they are cost-effective and high-quality.
  • Issue, update, and terminate individual service contracts and purchase orders in compliance with council policies and financial regulations.
  • Work closely with care management teams to implement changes in individual support plans, ensuring any changes are accurately reflected in contracts.
  • Respond to changing demands within the service, managing conflicting priorities and supporting team improvement initiatives.

About you:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Proven experience working in an Adult Social Care or related environment.
  • Experience in negotiating fees and terms with care providers within a social care framework.
  • Experience managing contracts, purchase orders, and financial contributions within council policy boundaries.
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including care providers, care management, and quality assurance teams.

What's on offer:

Salary: £19+ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
