School Placement Coordinator

Fully office based - Finchley, North London

£35,000 pro rataThe part-time School Placement Coordinator is part of a team supporting a counselling and psychotherapy students to be placed into the schools

Your role will be liaising with schools, other organisations and students to allocate trainees into clinical placements and work closely with partner organisations to ensure a high-quality, professional and well managed service is provided to all schools and organisations they work with

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Deliver presentations to Students/Trainees regarding placements, sharing information about placements in a clear and professional manner.
  • Liaising with schools (including head teachers and senior staff), external agencies, statutory and non-statutory organisations in a professional manner.Responding to trainees’ queries relating to placements
  • Supporting and guiding trainees around securing and starting their first placements.

Skills and experience required:

  • Strong interpersonal skills essential to be able to deal with a wide range of people, managing sometimes difficult conversations and defusing tension before problems arise.
  • Clear and efficient verbal communications, including the ability to prepare and deliver presentations in a clear, concise and professional manner, using appropriate technology.Good organisational ability.
  • Flexible work pattern as and when necessary.
  • Integrity, compassion and creativity.
  • Some knowledge and understanding of primary and secondary school environment would be advantageous
