It is ideal for an experienced advanced nurse practitioner with strong leadership qualities and a passion for providing patient-centered care, especially for individuals with complex conditions.Key Responsibilities:
- Triage urgent care requests and provide advanced nursing care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
- Perform specialised procedures such as biopsies, spinal taps, and thoracentesis.
- Monitor and review patient progress, plan safe discharges, and prescribe medications as an independent prescriber.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals and maintain accurate patient records.
- Educate patients and families on health and wellness topics.
- Conduct diagnostic tests and interpret results to inform clinical decisions.
- Ensure compliance with clinical standards and regulations.
Requirements:
- Current registration with the NMC.
- Advanced Practitioner qualification (degree/master’s level).
- A minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience (preferably in primary care).
- Teaching, Assessing, or Mentorship qualification.
- Independent prescriber status.
Experience:
- Proven success in an Advanced Nurse Practitioner role, with a strong track record of leadership and clinical expertise.
- Ability to plan and prioritise care effectively, manage change, and work collaboratively across sectors.
Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of applied pharmacology, physical assessments, and evidence-based prescribing.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, including team motivation, change management, and formal/informal teaching.
- Strong critical thinking, delegation, and problem-solving skills.
