An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join a dynamic and dedicated Stroke Community Team based in East London. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality physiotherapy services to individuals recovering from strokes, delivering care in the community setting.
Key Details:
- Position: Band 6 Physiotherapist
- Location: East London
- Salary: £25-26 per hour, depending on experience
- Full-time position (part-time applications also welcome)
- Essential: Previous experience in stroke rehabilitation, a valid UK driving license, and access to a car.
Role Overview:
As a Band 6 Physiotherapist, the post holder will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for patients recovering from a stroke. The role requires strong clinical knowledge of stroke management, the ability to work independently in the community, and excellent communication skills to engage with patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for stroke patients in their homes or community settings.
- Develop and implement individualised rehabilitation plans aimed at improving mobility, independence, and quality of life.
- Work with patients to develop tailored exercise programs and rehabilitation techniques.
- Support patients and their families with education and advice to manage the recovery process.
- Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care and treatment.
- Provide reports and maintain accurate documentation in line with clinical governance.
Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience in stroke rehabilitation (essential).
- HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist.
- A full, clean UK driving license and access to a car for community-based travel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
