Physiotherapy AssistantBand 3 / 4Location:LondonWorking Hours: Full-TimeDuration: 3-6 months (with potential for extension)Salary: Competitive Hourly RateIMC Locums are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Physiotherapy Assistant to join a inpatient physiotherapy team on a temporary basis. If you're passionate about helping patients regain independence and mobility, this role offers a great opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.Key Responsibilities:Assist physiotherapists in the delivery of therapeutic interventions and rehabilitation exercises for inpatients.Support patients in completing prescribed exercises, mobility activities, and use of equipment under the direction of a physiotherapist.Encourage and motivate patients to engage in their therapy programs, providing reassurance and guidance as needed.Help monitor and record patient progress, updating physiotherapists on patient status and any concerns.Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions, ensuring all necessary supplies are available.Assist with the safe movement and handling of patients, promoting mobility and independence where possible.Participate in multidisciplinary team discussions to ensure coordinated patient care.Maintain accurate documentation and assist with administrative tasks as required.Requirements:Experience working in Acute inpatientsA basic understanding of physiotherapy principles and techniques.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions from senior clinicians.Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.Flexibility to work in a fast-paced inpatient environment.Benefits:Competitive hourly pay.Monday to Friday 8-4Supportive and collaborative team environment.If you're enthusiastic about making a positive impact on patient care and looking for a locum opportunity, we would love to hear from you!
