Key Responsibilities:

  • Specialized Assessment & Treatment: Conduct detailed assessments of patients with complex musculoskeletal, neurological, respiratory, or other specialized conditions. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on the assessment, ensuring evidence-based, patient-centered care.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Provide expert physiotherapy interventions, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, electrotherapy, respiratory techniques, and rehabilitation for complex conditions. Tailor interventions to meet specific patient needs and goals.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with medical, nursing, occupational therapy, and other allied health professionals to ensure integrated care. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss complex patient cases and treatment options.
  • Patient Education & Empowerment: Educate patients and their families on the importance of self-management, rehabilitation techniques, and lifestyle modifications to improve health outcomes. Provide guidance on home exercise programs and equipment use.
  • Clinical Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and support less experienced physiotherapists, providing mentorship, clinical supervision, and training opportunities. Contribute to the development of best practices and clinical guidelines within the team.
  • Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies. Ensure that patient progress and outcomes are clearly documented.
  • Quality Improvement & Audits: Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement projects to enhance the delivery of physiotherapy services. Ensure that interventions align with current clinical evidence and standards of practice.
  • Professional Development: Stay up to date with the latest physiotherapy techniques, research, and evidence-based practices. Attend relevant training, conferences, and workshops to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations, infection control policies, and departmental protocols. Ensure the safe use of equipment and materials in accordance with guidelines.
