We’re representing one of the largest providers in the training market, who are seeking a skilled Bid Writer/Coordinator to join their team. Our client is Ofsted Grade 2, provides training across all four nations in the UK, and has over 6,000 active apprentices in programs. With 30+ years of experience in the training sector, they are a trusted leader in the field.

Role: Bid Writer/Coordinator

  • Reports to: Senior Bid Manager
  • Location: Fully remote-based role

The Role

Are you a skilled bid professional with exceptional written communication skills and a keen eye for detail? If so, this is a fantastic opportunity to enhance your career by working with a high-performing bids team that boasts an impressive submission success rate of over 80%.

In this role, you will support the Senior Bid Manager in drafting and submitting successful bids and tenders to secure apprenticeship training contracts with large private and public sector clients.

While experience writing bids for education contracts is a plus, it’s not essential—our client is prepared to provide sector-specific training. Any experience with public sector tender processes is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage registrations, subscriptions, and administration of tender portals, ensuring all company information is accurate and correspondence is promptly actioned.
  • Oversee the bid process from identifying opportunities and making bid/no-bid decisions to completion and submission of tenders.
  • Manage, complete, and submit tenders for Service Sector opportunities and other relevant sectors.
  • Draft mini-competition submissions for Public Sector, NHS, and Council Frameworks.
  • Build strong relationships with key colleagues across business functions to ensure seamless content and evidence delivery for bids.
  • Develop proposal structures, edit content, and ensure high-quality, compliant, and competitive submissions.
  • Manage the contract award/signatory process for successful tenders or competitions.
  • Lead lessons-learned sessions to analyze outcomes and feedback, implementing updates as needed.
  • Produce and submit monthly Management Information reports for Public Sector Frameworks.
  • Update and maintain the Bid Tracker to monitor submission progress, deadlines, outcomes, feedback, contract values, and competitor analysis.
  • Maintain the Bid Library, which includes best-practice responses, templates, CVs, and case studies for future use.
  • Develop high-caliber case studies and presentations aligned with client requirements.
  • Draft and submit award entries on behalf of clients.
