We are seeking an Energy Account Manager to join a team of experienced professionals in the energy industry. This role offers a fantastic career opportunity for an ambitious, flexible, and passionate individual, with personal development and progression aligned to the continued growth and success of the business. You will play a crucial role in building and nurturing long-term relationships with strategic partners, overseeing complex tender processes, making strategic pricing decisions, and driving financial growth.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Manage and renew key accounts with significant energy consumption, encompassing both electricity and gas customers.
  • Coordinate complex tenders from enquiry to deal acceptance, ensuring bids are handled efficiently and professionally.
  • Determine pricing and deal structures to optimise propositions and drive growth, in collaboration with the Trading Desk team.
  • Monitor account performance, identify opportunities for growth, upselling, and develop new products.
  • Achieve targeted financial growth through retention and upsell/cross-sell, contributing significantly to the company’s revenue and market share.
  • Manage internal stakeholders to ensure high levels of customer experience and satisfaction.
  • Drive innovation in customer offerings, stay updated on market trends, and act as an industry expert.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on account performance and growth to senior management.
  • Lead on the delivery of strategies, including client liaison, stakeholder analysis, and reporting.
  • Create and maintain Key Account Plans for all key accounts.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and/or Third Party Intermediaries (TPIs).

Required skills:

  • Extensive experience in UK energy markets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, confident, credible, persuasive, and a collaborative team player.
  • Results-oriented, ambitious, with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet multiple and competing deadlines.
  • Fast learner, open to acquiring new skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication and analytical skills.
  • Adaptable, innovative, and customer-centric, with a passion for excellent customer service.
  • Full Driving License is required.
  • Proven experience in key account management and commercial negotiations.
