The Shipping Trade Analyst position requires 3 days in the office and 2 days of remote work, focusing on implementing pricing policies in diverse markets.
Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, good Excel proficiency, and previous experience in pricing or market liner shipping, ideally with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience.
The role involves reacting to changing market dynamics, ensuring due diligence in pricing actions, and assessing the commercial merits of customers.
The successful applicant will collaborate closely with the Ast Marketing/Trade Manager and HQ Trade for commercial strategy and may negotiate rates directly with customers.
The salary for this position is competitive, although specific figures were not disclosed, and no sponsorship is provided for applicants.

Shipping Trade Analyst (East or Westbound Services) 3 days office, 2 days WFH.

• Implementing pricing policy in varied markets. Executing decision making in context within the varying trade direction and market dynamics Problems / Challenges faced • Reacting swiftly to ever changing market dynamics. • Making sure due diligence is applied to all pricing actions. • Judging commercial merits of customers / business. • Adjusting Pricing mind-set in line with often changing trading circumstances.

Skills, Qualifications and Expertise

• Ability to analyse data • Good Excel (Essential) • Experience of working to tight deadlines • Flexibility in approach to work. • Ability to prioritise workload. • Previous pricing / market liner shipping experience is desirable. Knowledge of space management.

Key Relationships

• The job holder may deal directly with customers to negotiate Rates and Terms and Conditions
