My client, a Chiswick-based logistics & supply chain company are recruiting for an experience Operations Project Coordinator. The successful candidate will have a key focus on maintaining customer service within multi-modal import and export and will provide both operation excellent and high customer satisfaction at all times. This is an office based, Monday - Friday position, working from 9am - 5:30pm.

Main duties: 

  • Handle multi-modal import/export transport operations (air, road and sea) from start to finish 
  • Handle out of gauge (ooo) and break bulk cargo shipments 
  • Operational planning and scheduling, coordinating shipment activities 
  • Quoting and invoicing customers 
  • Reporting and controlling urgent deliveries, control track and trace information
  • Receiving and actioning of customers' shipping instructions 
  • Cooperate with and handle customs-related activities and paperwork
  • Ensure customer retention and satisfaction 
  • Further operational duties as and when required 

Key requirements: 

  • Knowledge and understanding of break bulk cargo and out of gauge operations 
  • Import/export experience 
  • Multi-modal freight forwarding experience (air, road and/or sea)
  • Freight forwarding experience within the oil, gas, mining or energy sectors would be beneficial
