Coyle Personnel, one of the UK’s leading family-run staffing solutions providers, is currently seeking a dynamic and skilled Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical Bias) to join our Facilities Management sector based in Canary Wharf, London. This is an excellent opportunity to become an integral part of a team committed to delivering top-tier services in both soft and hard facilities management.

Role Summary

As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting planned and reactive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems. This role demands a proactive mindset, excellent fault-finding skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Execute scheduled planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks in line with company and statutory procedures
  • Complete dynamic and documented risk assessments to ensure safe working practices are upheld
  • Attend and resolve reactive breakdowns with efficiency, conducting thorough fault finding and necessary repairs
  • Undertake small project installations in compliance with relevant standards and procedures
  • Present a professional image at all times, wearing and maintaining the company uniform
  • Accurately identify and order replacement parts via the company Buyer
  • Support Contract Managers, Account Managers, and Site Supervisors as required
  • Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities for additional works
  • Submit Estimate Sheets for any extra works on a regular basis
  • Maintain tidy workspaces and dispose of waste in line with site guidelines
  • Take part in the weekday shift rota (Monday to Friday, 07:00–19:00) and emergency on-call rota if required

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar multi-skilled building services role
  • Recognised Electrical and/or Mechanical qualifications 
  • Strong technical knowledge of building services equipment and systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to prioritise workload and work independently
  • Experience with Testing & Inspection, PAT Testing 
  • IPAF, PASMA, L8 Water Hygiene and Working at Height training 
  • Completed apprenticeship 
  • Good working knowledge of health and safety practices within a facilities management environment
