Our client is a leading environmental testing, inspection and consultancy company based in Northwest London. They work with a range of clients in the rail, highways and construction sectors to provide technical reports to improve Occupational Health & Safety.

They are seeking a Technologist to join their laboratory team to carry out the following tests:

Analysis of asbestos in bulk materials

Analysis of asbestos in air, soils and other environmental samples

Dust, fibres and particulates analysis

Chemical / physical analysis of a range of materials used in construction

Other ad-hoc tests as required

Candidate:

Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science or related science subject.

Ideally holds a P401 Identification of Asbestos in Bulk Materials certificate.

Experience using microscopes, including polarised light optical microscopy (PLM) and SEM.

Use of EDX / XRF techniques also an advantage.

Able to carry out other bench tests as required on a range of materials.

Lives locally to NW London and able to commute each day.
