Contracts Advisor
London - Hybrid

About the role:

  • Servicing all business unit requirements primarily relating to general commercial and contractual matters.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and transactions and assisting the business in commercial negotiations.
  • Supporting business activities including tenders and contracts for the provision of services to various clients.
  • Advising and supporting the business on ad hoc queries relating to the recruitment sector.
  • Assisting the legal department in keeping abreast of developments and relevant legislation on commercial issues affecting the full spectrum of the business and keeping the business informed of such developments.
  • Building and maintaining a good working relationship with the business, understanding the business requirements, and engaging on how the Legal Department can best help them with their business areas.
  • Managing low level litigation matters including responding to basic county court claims.

Who we're looking for:

Essential

  • A sound understanding of all aspects of contract and commercial law best practice.
  • Good understanding of the area of law that is relevant to the recruitment sector including, contract, data protection, marketing, IT law.
  • Minimum 3 years in-house experience as a contract's advisor.
  • Law Degree or equivalent.

Desirable

  • An understanding of the Conduct of Employment Businesses and Employment Agencies Regulations 2003.

  • Ability to provide clear, practical 'solutions based' advice.
  • Ability to make decisions.
  • Ability to solve problems.
  • Ability to priorities work and meet deadlines.
