Salary: £33,000 – £37,000

A leading supplier of water efficiency technologies in the UK and Europe, specializing in rainwater harvesting and greywater recycling systems for large commercial properties. Our success is built on the expertise and dedication of our team, and we are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our Technical Department.
*This role can also be an exciting opportunity for an Engineer looking to combine technical design, sustainability, and project ownership in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create sales designs, feasibility proposals, and technical specifications for rainwater harvesting and greywater recycling systems.
- Develop designs from feasibility through to detailed design and tender stage, ensuring alignment with company strategy.
- Prepare and manage quotations for tenders and design inquiries.
- Review contract conditions and incorporate company requirements into tender submissions.
- Collaborate with contractors and consultants to ensure project deadlines and requirements are met.
- Support the design team with tasks such as:
- Creating and updating schematic and demarcation drawings using AutoCAD.
- Developing basic 3D coordination models using Revit.
- Explore and integrate new technologies into system designs.
- Create and update internal procedures and design guides for the sales team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in an engineering environment with knowledge of the design and construction process.
- Engineering qualification (Diploma/Degree or equivalent) preferred.
- Ability to interpret mechanical and drainage drawings.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit is beneficial but not essential.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
Progression through the company is possible, with in-depth experience of the role being an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided where required.
