Our client, a leading Railway Communications & MEP Contractor, is currently seeking a Design Engineer to join their dynamic team in London. This permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in high-profile railway projects, including prestigious HS2 projects, network rail and TFL railway and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with Senior Engineers to produce designs that meet railway CDM and project standards
- Utilising 3D/2D CAD software and tools such as Bentley Openbuilding, Aecosym, or Microstation
- Engaging in railway station communications Design and Build projects
- Adhering to project procedures and maintaining high-quality output
- Continuously learning and adapting as projects and team dynamics evolve
- Employing Projectwise for document management and project collaboration
Job Requirements:
- Experience within a design office environment covering Comms systems or MEP/building Services in the rail or construction industry
- Proficiency in 3D/2D CAD software and tools (Bentley Openbuilding, Aecosim or Microstation)
- Ideally experience with Railway SISS (Station Infrastructure Surveillance Systems), CCTV, PA and Access Control or at least experience in MEP systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting
- Background in consultancy with a desire to engage in design and build projects would be beneficial
- Knowledge of document management systems, especially Projectwise
