Position: Electrical Testing and Inspection Engineer

Location: South London – Must be within 30 minutes of your home. Any travel beyond this will be compensated.

Salary: Up to £41,000 per year (potential to earn £43,000 – £60,000 with bonuses and overtime)

Join our clients growing team with a £1,000 sign-on bonus* and the potential to earn up to £60,000 per year, combining your base salary with additional pay. You’ll also be provided with a company vehicle, uniform, testing tools, laptop, mobile phone, and more.

We are looking for experienced Electrical Testing and Inspection Engineers for our client to support their rapid growth. You will be responsible for performing electrical tests, inspections, and repairs in properties managed by housing associations and local authorities.

About Our Client:

Our client is a reputable compliance safety service provider, ensuring the properties we service meet safety standards and legal requirements. They currently oversee the maintenance, servicing, and repairs of over 70,000 properties nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all Health and Safety regulations, reporting near-misses, incidents, and accidents
  • Perform fixed-wire installation testing (EICR) at customer locations
  • Address and resolve any issues found during fixed-wire tests
  • Submit accurate certification through a tablet using custom software
  • Maintain a minimum of 40 working hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM), with opportunities for overtime on evenings and weekends
  • Represent the company with professionalism at all times

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition)
  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 Part 1 & 2
  • City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 in Electrical Installations
  • City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent (training may be provided for the right candidate)
  • Previous experience in domestic electrical work
  • Knowledge of workplace Health and Safety regulations
  • Full UK driver’s license
  • Competence with basic IT tasks
