I am working with a global company seeking an O&M Engineer based in Penzance. They are open to seeing profiles with an electrical background from other industries, with a passion to move into the renewables sector!

Duties and responsibilities

  • Always adhere to all HSE procedures and play an active role in risk assessment.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of electrical components, inverters and modules.
  • CCTV/Security Systems.
  • Monitoring systems.
  • Structures.
  • Provide electrical maintenance services for portfolio of solar farms in a specified region. This will require regular travel to sites in your allocated region. On occasions you will be expected to travel to different regions to provide extra support if required.
  • Assist with the compilation of insurance and warranty claims.
  • Take full ownership of assigned sites.
  • Manage relationships local subcontractors.

 Qualifications required:

  • 18th edition
  • 2391 test & inspect
  • NVQ level 3 (required)
  • LV/HVAP (desired)

Other role requirements:

  • Working at heights is an advantage.
  • Be comfortable working in a team.
  • Good time-management and punctuality.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Able to prioritize workload effectively.
