City Elite Transaction Services are delighted to be working with a globally recognised Trading and Shipping firm, assisting them in their search for a Senior Contracts Analyst for their London office.

The primary function of this role is to ensure data integrity and accuracy of risk undertaken by the business through a thorough trade verification and contract review process. The ideal candidate will help improve contract management processes and contribute to building a stable, quality-driven, and control-focused contracts desk.

Duties

  • Reconcile trades within the system.
  • Review counterparty contracts, focusing on purchase agreements for bulk cargo transactions.
  • Manage the full contract life-cycle and counterparty contracts.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with contract terms.
  • Manage the confirmation process for marine bunker deals.
  • Maintain strong audit trails and document management best practices.
  • Ensure best practice contract management at all critical control points.
  • Identify process gaps and assist in implementing enhancements.

Required Skills / Experience

  • Experience as a Contracts Analyst within the physical commodities (Oil) sector.
  • Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management.
  • Strong knowledge with industry T&Cs and Incoterms.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Team-player mentality.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in standardised confirmation processes is a plus.
