City Elite Transaction Services are delighted to be working with a globally recognised Trading and Shipping firm, assisting them in their search for a Senior Contracts Analyst for their London office.
The primary function of this role is to ensure data integrity and accuracy of risk undertaken by the business through a thorough trade verification and contract review process. The ideal candidate will help improve contract management processes and contribute to building a stable, quality-driven, and control-focused contracts desk.
Duties
- Reconcile trades within the system.
- Review counterparty contracts, focusing on purchase agreements for bulk cargo transactions.
- Manage the full contract life-cycle and counterparty contracts.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with contract terms.
- Manage the confirmation process for marine bunker deals.
- Maintain strong audit trails and document management best practices.
- Ensure best practice contract management at all critical control points.
- Identify process gaps and assist in implementing enhancements.
Required Skills / Experience
- Experience as a Contracts Analyst within the physical commodities (Oil) sector.
- Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management.
- Strong knowledge with industry T&Cs and Incoterms.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Team-player mentality.
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in standardised confirmation processes is a plus.
