Join a dynamic and growing team as a Senior Structural Engineer with a leading engineering company in South East London!
Our client is seeking a Chartered or near-Chartered Senior Structural Engineer to join their established team of professionals. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a mix of new and replacement projects, working on exciting refurbishment and basement works primarily in London. You will be stepping into a role where you can take on leadership responsibilities, providing guidance to junior engineers while maintaining project autonomy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead structural engineering projects with autonomy.
- Manage and collaborate with a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring designs are efficient and meet project specifications.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers, assisting with their development and project delivery.
- Work on a diverse range of projects, predominantly involving refurbishments and basement works in the London area.
- Use industry-leading software including Tekla, Robot, and AutoDesk to deliver accurate designs and solutions.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and quality standards.
Ideal Candidate:
- Chartered or near-chartered structural engineer with significant experience in structural design and project leadership.
- At least 6 years' post graduate experience within a London consultancy.
- A proven track record of leading projects and teams, with the ability to work with autonomy.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
Additional Benefits:
- Competitive salary of 50k-55k DOE
- Hybrid working model: 2 days a week from home, with office attendance required on Thursdays.
