Conrad Consulting is pleased to be working with a multi award winning structural engineering practice based in the City of London. They pride themselves on offering creative engineering design to build sustainable, appropriate and cost-effective solutions for their clients.

Their reputation and continuing hard work have ensured ongoing project wins, resulting in the need to recruit a talented and motivated Structural Engineer to join their small and dedicated structural team on a full time permanent basis.

Projects: residential, Commercial, leisure, arts and sculpture ranging in value from 250k to 30m.

Responsibilities:

  • Structural design and detail for a range of projects, feasibility studies, inspections, surveys and reports,
  • Delivery of projects alongside the team of technical staff,
  • Liaising closely with Architects, clients, contractors, developers and other professionals within the organisation,
  • Assist in the peparation and review of fee quotations for new projects.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering,
  • Between 2-5 years' industry experience within the UK,
  • Experience of working for a smaller practice and successfully and efficiently managing projects,
  • Competency to design in a range of materials including steel, concrete, timber and masonry,
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision and within time constraints to efficiently deliver projects/reports on time and within budget,
  • The capacity to think creatively and in new ways by challenging the 'norm' to produce innovative engineering solutions,
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence.
