Architect, Education Projects
Hybrid, Permanent Position in Central London
Our client is a multi-award winning, multi-disciplined practice who have designed and delivered buildings worldwide for many years. Their core skills are in architecture and urban planning and they offer an extensive range of engineering, project management and design-build services.
We're happy to say that they are now recruiting for an Architect and welcome applications from Architects who have worked on education or other public buildings.
School/College design strategies must take a holistic view of creating more flexible, connected and inclusive learning environments and our clients design to provide an exceptional user experience for students, faculty and staff alike.
As an Architect, you will work with other members of the design team in order to develop design solutions appropriate to the context, budget and aesthetic requirements. You will collaborate with other professional disciplines and have opportunities to coordinate the design through all phases of the project.
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyse the information to understand broad requirements of project
  • Develop architectural designs, to ensure an exemplary solution is delivered that meets quality parameters, project timelines and budgetary requirements
  • Coordinate design intent with other disciplines
  • Integrate engineering requirements, site surveys and field review information
  • Perform site visits to determine compliance with construction documents; identify any deviations and liaise with owner and contactor to resolve issues in a timely manner

Required Skills

  • Experience in all RIBA stages is required.
  • Architectural software skills including Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp and PhotoShop.
  • Familiarity with MEP and Structural building systems and building regulations.

Required Experience

  • 5-10 years of project work experience. Experience in Education projects is an asset
