A small and ambitious London-based architecture practice is seeking a talented architect to join its team of less than 5. With a strong focus on sustainable, people-first neighbourhoods, the practice is dedicated to creating thoughtful, socially driven designs that transform the way communities live and connect. Its work spans housing and public spaces, always prioritising design quality, sustainability, and meaningful place making. Collaborating with other practices and speciliaties to work on large UK housing and public realm spaces.
The Role
This role is ideal for an architect with a proven track record in housing design and delivery. The successful candidate will be passionate about tackling complex urban challenges and rethinking how sustainable, community-driven places are designed.
Working within a close-knit small collaborative team, the architect will be responsible for:
- Identifying and assessing underutilised urban sites, including brownfield and grey belt area
- Developing high-density, sustainable housing typologies that support vibrant communities
- Contributing to all design and delivery stages, ensuring architectural quality and social impact remain central to every project
The ideal candidate will have:
* Strong design skills and a problem-solving mindset
Excellent communication and visual storytelling abilities
* Experience in sustainable design and place-making
* A proactive, self-motivated approach within a fast-paced, ideas-driven environment
* A collaborative mindset with the confidence to take initiative
* Proficiency in Vectorworks
* An out-of-the-box thinker with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for architecture
* A qualification as an architect or Part II with at least 3 years post-Masters experience
Bonus: An interest in AI and VR in architecture would be highly valued.
