Are you an experienced and proactive Construction Manager looking to join the one of the UK’s leading fit-out contractors We are seeking dedicated and driven Construction Managers to support the Project Managers on prestigious commercial office fit-out projects across Central London.
As Construction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations on site, acting as the eyes and ears for the Project Manager. This is a key leadership position, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Project Manager in the delivery of CAT A and CAT B commercial office fit-out projects, valued between £5m and £12m.
- Oversee and manage subcontractors, ensuring work is completed to quality standards and project specifications.
- Ensure that health and safety standards are strictly followed across the site.
- Conduct tool box talks, inductions, and provide leadership on safety matters.
- Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Ensure projects are progressing according to the programme and resolve any potential delays or issues.
- Maintain regular communication with the Project Manager and provide updates on site progress.
- Proactively manage site logistics and coordinate between different trades to optimise project flow.
Requirements:
- Significant experience as a Construction Manager, ideally in commercial fit-out or similar sectors.
- Strong understanding of CAT A and CAT B fit-out projects.
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors and site teams effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with senior management and site teams.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certification required.
