Job Advertisement: Construction Site Manager - Demolition Specialist
Location: Central London
Duration: 20 weeks (initially)
Start Date: Week commencing 20 th January
Interviews will be held on site or on Teams with an immediate start thereafter
We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager with expertise in demolition, holding a valid Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) ticket, and preferably a Black CSCS card to oversee the removal of a bank vault, including concrete removal and reinstatement works. This is a critical phase in the transformation of a former bank into a modern restaurant.
Key Responsibilities for the Construction Site Manager - Demolition Specialist:
- Lead the demolition of the bank vault and associated concrete structures, ensuring safety and precision.
- Manage and supervise all temporary works, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
- Oversee subcontractors, materials, and equipment to ensure efficient and safe site operations.
- Maintain an excellent health and safety record, conducting regular risk assessments and site inspections.
- Prepare, manage, and complete all necessary site documentation, including method statements, RAMS, and progress reports.
- Liaise with the client, design teams, and the main contractor to ensure a smooth handover.
- Ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Requirements for the Construction Site Manager - Demolition Specialist:
- Proven experience as a Construction Site Manager in demolition projects.
- Valid SMSTS, Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) ticket, and First Aid certification.
- Preferably a Black CSCS card.
- Strong understanding of demolition processes, concrete removal, and reinstatement.
- Exceptional health and safety record with a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- IT literate and experienced in managing site documentation.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Desirable for the Construction Site Manager - Demolition Specialist:
- Experience in projects involving commercial property conversions.
- Knowledge of structural engineering principles relating to temporary works.
