My client is a well-established engineering company based in the London area who specializes in providing cutting-edge Building Management System/Building Energy Management Systems. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the design and delivery of high-quality BMS solutions for large-scale commercial and industrial projects.
The Role
As a BMS Design Manager, you will be responsible for producing detailed control system designs, working closely with project teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery. Your expertise will be critical in developing tailored solutions that meet contractual specifications while maintaining high standards of quality and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine BMS designs based on project requirements, specifications, and contract documentation.
- Collaborate with main contractors, design teams, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
- Produce engineering documentation, including equipment schedules, point schedules, and operational descriptions.
- Identify and mitigate potential commercial and technical risks.
- Support project teams with technical guidance, ensuring efficient and cost-effective solutions.
- Review and approve CAD designs prior to client submission or manufacturing.
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers for technical specifications and compliance.
- Monitor project design hours and identify opportunities for additional work.
About You
For this role they will be ideally looking for someone who has:
- A proven track record in delivering BMS designs for large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of building services, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with BMS platforms such as Trend, Distech, Tridium, and Delta.
- Excellent ability to explain design concepts and justify technical decisions.
- Relevant technical qualifications and accreditations.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Project, Outlook).
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of IT networks and topologies.
- Understanding of smart building technologies and cloud-based solutions.
- Familiarity with standard naming conventions in BMS
