This leading main contractor who specialise in the heavy refurbishment and fitout projects have an immediate requirement to add to their current Design Management team. They require an experienced Design Manager to work from their Surrey office on refurbishment tenders initially.
Your role as a Design Manager with this leading contractor will start off working on tenders and once a project has been successfully secured, you will continue with it right through preconstruction, delivery and completion. This is likely run concurrently with other involvement in tenders and depending on the complexity of the given projects, other live sites.
This is a Design Manager role within a current team of seven Design Managers at different levels of experience so there will be a chance to develop and learn from other team member's experience.
The initial tenders you will be involved with as Design Manager will be mainly cut and carve refurbishments from 5m to 20m in value. For this position you must have worked as a Design Manager for at least one main contractor on similar scale refurb projects.
This Design Manager role is for candidates that have worked from tender stage right through to working on the site and delivering the project. Please only apply if you have experience. Our client is open to candidates with both Architectural trained background, construction trained or consultants that wish to move over to main contracting.
