Rare opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a well-established property developer in London and step into an M&E Coordinator / MEP Design Manager role.
You'll collaborate closely with the other members of the Technical Department and Engineering Team and oversee projects through their entire lifecycle. You'll prepare performance specifications, review tender documents, appoint specialist M&E Consultants, review their designs, specifications, and schematics, attend DTM's and monitor projects during key milestones.
Reporting to the Head of Building Services, you'll use your HVAC design skills as you review consultants designs and ensure they meet their inhouse technical standards, best practices, British standards and CIBSE guidelines. You'll also liaise with manufactures on all M&E systems and promote the use of innovative technologies to ensure every design is consistent, cost effective and sustainable.
You'll use your expert HVAC Design skills to ensure the consultants are not overengineering systems and ensure value engineering is at the core of the design process.
As projects progress to site, you'll help monitor the sub-contractor's electrical and mechanical installation progress of works. You'll help identify any technical issues or risks, respond to any RFI's, and keep the Head of Building Services updated with any changes.
