A Fire Stopper required in London. Responsible for installing and maintaining fire-resistant barriers to prevent the spread of fire within buildings. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations and building codes.
Key Responsibilities:

Installation of Fire Stopping Systems: Apply fire-resistant materials to seal gaps and penetrations in fire-rated walls, floors, and ceilings.

Maintenance and Repair: Conduct regular inspections and perform necessary repairs to existing fire stopping measures to maintain their effectiveness.

Compliance Assurance: Ensure all installations meet industry standards and local building codes.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and compliance checks.
Qualifications and Experience:

Experience: A minimum of 2 years in fire stopping within a construction environment is preferred.

Certifications: A valid CSCS card with fire-stopping qualifications is required.

Skills: Proficiency in using fire-resistant materials and tools; strong attention to detail; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Materials and Equipment:
Operatives are expected to supply their own materials and tools. Commonly used materials include fire-resistant sealants, intumescent wraps, and fire barrier boards.
