I'm hiring for an Ecology-focused Senior Asset Manager to support the compliance, monitoring, and stewardship of newly created ecological assets along a nationally significant route. These green assets – including habitats created for protected species – need long-term protection and management in line with licences and legislation.
Key experience:
- Ecologist or environmental professional with protected species licence or mitigation experience
- Familiarity with stakeholder engagement – particularly Natural England
- Comfortable inspecting, reporting and tracking ecological asset conditions
- Experience on major infrastructure or complex ecological schemes preferred
This role suits someone with strong ecological field experience who understands what’s needed to monitor and maintain habitats during their early life, ensuring licence conditions and stakeholder obligations (e.g., Natural England) are fully met. If you’ve worked on large construction or infrastructure projects and been close to licence management, I’d love to hear from you.
You’ll be inspecting habitats, supporting compliance reporting, and working closely with both contractors and internal stakeholders to make sure biodiversity and mitigation goals are being delivered as intended.
This will be a one-stage interview on Teams.
