We are currently seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join our vibrant team at a mainstream secondary school located in Greenwich. This full-time, long-term position is available for immediate start and will last until the end of the academic year.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or adolescents, particularly in a school setting.
  • A clear and current DBS check registered on the update service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, and parents.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students who require assistance with behaviour management.
  • Implement and monitor individual behaviour plans in collaboration with teachers and SENCO.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and respected.
  • Act as a role model and mentor for students, guiding them towards making positive choices and building self-esteem.
  • Liaise with teachers, parents, and external agencies as necessary to ensure consistent support and intervention for students.
  • Keep accurate records of student progress and behaviour incidents, providing regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in behaviour management.
