My Client… is one of the world’s leading event organisers, producing and delivering innovative and market-leading events. A new opportunity has arisen for a senior sales professional from an Expo/Conference background working on one of the biggest events of its kind.

The Role…Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Senior Sales Executive is responsible for driving revenue into the events and associated products through intelligent and consultative selling, you will work with existing accounts and generate new business within an exciting and fast-growing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead sales calls and meetings to existing and potential exhibitors to meet and beat revenue targets on our Conference/Exhibition sales on the Event.
  • Demonstrate personal high sales, with experience desirable in Salesforce or a similar CRM, having built and managed a pipeline.
  • Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with exhibitors, sponsors, partners, and the show team.
  • Keeping abreast of market developments and identifying and researching new clients.
  • Self-motivated lead generation in the tech focused expansion area of the show.
  • Ensuring all sales administration is completed to a high standard in a timely manner.
  • Floorplan management with a high level of accuracy required.
  • Mentor and help develop junior Sales Executives within the show team and wider division.
  • Attend competitor shows to find new exhibitors, as well as maintain existing relationships with accounts.

Skills & Expertise:

  • Proven sales industry experience within Confex/Exhibitions is essential for this role.

Able to demonstrate a clear understanding of events and the sales process to contract exhibitors.

  • Ability to work calmly to a consistent high-level of output, when busy and under pressure.
  • Demonstrates a hardworking and conscientious approach to sales, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a creative approach to problem solving.
