The role

The Senior Business Development Manager (Exhibition Sales Manager) is a part of a growing sales team. The role will be selling exhibition stands and sponsorship at the new launch event, with unlimited potential for growth - this really is targeting a sector with some of the biggest potential out there . You will be provided with clear, targeted lists of where to find the companies to sell to as well as opportunities to build an individual pipeline of leads. Salespeople are supported by the client success and marketing team to provide leads and success for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and targeting potential clients through market research, industry events, and networking
  • Generating leads and building a robust pipeline of potential business opportunities
  • Selling exhibition stands and packages for the event annually
  • Keeping a clear and accurate record of activities, opportunities and sales via Salesforce CRM system
  • Developing and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients to encourage repeat business, referrals and upsells
  • Creating compelling proposals and presentations to showcase event services and capabilities
  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets and revenue goals
  • Collaborating with the event planning team to ensure that the client expectations are met or exceeded
  • Ability to travel to industry events domestically (and internationally depending on experience) is a must

What we are looking for:

  • 3+ years sales experience and a familiarity with media/event sales
  • Strong ability to take initiative and confidently direct sales calls and meetings
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Team player with a can-do attitude
  • Energetic, friendly and enthusiastic
  • Flexible and willing to travel to industry events domestically and internationally
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • UK drivers license
