We are excited to work with a growing lender that is looking to appoint a dynamic Sales Director with a breadth of experience within the bridging finance space.

The ideal candidate will have managed a small-medium size team of field-based BDMs and Telephone BDMs, who deal primarily with brokers across the country, along with some direct clients, such as property developers.

You will have a thorough understanding of assessing whether a case is financially workable, within the lending criteria and will work closely with senior management and the credit team, to ensure that each case is handled swiftly and within company SLAs.

It will be your responsibility to manage the team on a day-day basis, primarily from the London based office, however you will also roll your sleeves up and get on the road to existing contacts, nationwide bridging and property finance award ceremonies, expos, roadshows, round-tables and the like.

This is an excellent opportunity to be the main face of the sales function of an established lender, and you won’t be shy of regularly updating your social media pages and participating in various interviews in relation to market trends, company growth, new products and case synopsis reviews.

You will be based within a commutable distance of London and will be the kind of individual who brings out the best of their team, by leading by example.

Skills needed

  • 8 years+ within a UK based bridging lender
  • Management experience
  • An understanding of underwriting (although you may not have been an underwriter in the past)
  • Ability to carry out 1-1 meetings, both in person and on Teams
  • Setting KPIs
  • Training staff
  • Assisting the company with their growth plans
  • Maintaining a presence online, within social media, such as LinkedIn and also through online publications that specialise in property finance
  • Full driving licence
