The role of Audio-Visual Lead Technician
Our client, who is an industry leader in workplace services, is looking for a number of Audio-Visual Technicians to join their dedicated AV Support Team. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is client focused with a passion for technology, to provide planned preventative and reactive maintenance of all audio-visual equipment installed in the Microsoft non-standard AV spaces i.e., outside of Microsoft global AV standards.
Due to the nature of the role, it requires onsite attendance 5 days a week, based in Paddington, London. The role is expected to be required for a minimum of 12 months. This is an inside IR35 position, Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day worked between a window of 7:00am to 6:00pm. Some weekend and evening work may be required at times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production management including management of all communication with end users to produce and execute successful events
  • schedule/assign event technicians to support events
  • propose innovations and efficiencies to improve service
  • finance facilitation; quoting, invoicing, accuracy, timelines, payment methods, credits etc.
  • induction and training of AV technicians
  • booking coordination and assistance with team calendar scheduling
  • provision of RAMS (risk assessments and method statements) to applicable service
  • responsible for comprehensive audio-visual support of events
  • sound engineering, vision mixing, streaming, camera and lighting operations
  • Teams meeting and Teams live event support
  • diagnose and resolve audio visual hardware and software issues


About you
As the Lead AV Technician, you'll bring your technical knowledge of video conferencing and audio equipment, your keen eye for detail and your excellent communication skills, to keep everything ticking over.
With demonstrable experience as an AV technician, you should have a cheerful and helpful approach with clients and colleagues alike, and you'll support your team with a high level of computer know-how. You should have exceptional verbal and written communication skills and ensure that you offer your expertise to avoid disruption to the business.
