ROLE SUMMARY

 

The AV Technician’s prime function is to provide AV technical support across all meeting rooms. The position involves a high degree of exposure, working sometimes with Executive Management and Managing Directors of the organisation to provide the services listed below.

 

Level 3 Engineer  

 

Qualifications:

  • All the skills of a Level 3 Technician
  • Extensive experience with Cisco AV technologies and all other AV technologies deployed.
  • Extensive experience with Cisco and Codian Infrastructure (Codian MCU, Codian ISDN GW, Cisco VCS-c,-e, Cisco TMS)
  • Extensive experience in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco Endpoints, extensive experience in supporting global and high-profile events.
  • Extensive IP knowledge
  • Industry standard certification (Avixa, Polycom Sound Structure, Crestron,Extron, TMS, Codian MCU, Codian ISDN GW, Cisco VCS-c, -e)
  • Lead the administration of the multimedia infrastructure along with providing improvements based on observed and measured network behaviours.
  • Standardisation and simplification of the video infrastructure wherever required.
  • Recommend tactical and strategic solutions for video networking and collaboration capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to any level of users in the firm
  • Experience working in a global environment.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills

All daily functions and duties:

  • Project management
  • In conjunction with operations scope of works, assist AV Projects Manager with any AV related projects or installations.
  • Primary support for troubleshooting all multimedia infrastructures.
  • Primary Support for configuring, troubleshooting and deploying Cisco Codecs andconfiguring TMS templates to be pushed out to endpoint.
  • Provide infrastructure support for global events.
  • Provide AV engineering support and roadmap planning.
  • Provide AV Infrastructure design.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours emergency support (subject to Ad Hoc/Out of Hours Fees.)
  • Proactively finding faults and upgrading/enhancing Multimedia capabilities
