We are proud to be working with one of Intelligent Automation consultancies who are growing hugely and are on a key digital transformation journey.

A unique opportunity has arisen for a Head of RPA to lead a high performing RPA team which has been running for just over 5 years, as an extension of the Business Efficiency Team. As part of our clients transformation and digitalisation journey, their RPA Centre of Excellence (CoE) focuses on identifying opportunities for process automation across all the whole group. The CoEs goal is to support their employees and customers to achieve their goals by automating tedious, repetitive & manual tasks.

The Opportunity

As the Head of RPA you will strategically lead efforts in harnessing automation to streamline workflows and drive innovation across our clients organisation. Youll be responsible for 6 team members and manage the full lifecycle of RPA solutions from initiation/concept to handover to the business, including aftercare.

You will work closely with the groups wider business efficiency leadership team to shape the RPA roadmap and prioritise automations for the next 3-5 years, with an aspiration to grow their number of automations to >200 and >10m transactions per month.

Day to day you will Lead the implementation of New Products / Projects over the next 2-3 years, including new automation software, document understanding & other intelligent solutions. Youll also Identify group-wide automation opportunities, build next years RPA roadmap & seek approval from your RPA Sponsor.

Youll maintain cost control of licensing budgets (Op. Ex.), achieve cost effective license set up & utilisation and ensure Cap. Ex. spend is managed below the approved limit and ensure automation benefits are measured and aligned with strategic business objectives.

On top of this you will set annual & interim objectives & personal development plans (PDPs) for your team and complete reviews in-line with agreed the objectives & PDPs.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in setting up & leading an RPA CoE
  • Experience of working in a large transformation programme delivering automation outcomes within expected timescale and budget.
  • Extensive experience of leading, coaching, mentoring & motivating a CoE (of at least 5 direct reports), especially where a team is spread across different geographical locations.
  • A Tech Savvy RPA expert with a deep knowledge in UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere or Microsoft Power Platform
  • Programme / project management experience.
  • Strong client (internal & external) stakeholder management experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
