Data Cabling Engineer About the roleWe are seeking an experienced Cabling Engineer to support a large-scale IT rollout across the UK. This is a permanent role where you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network cabling systems to ensure the successful delivery of the project.This role will involve working Monday to Thursday with some night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. You will work closely with the project and operations teams to ensure that all cabling installations are completed on time, to a high standard, and in line with project specifications. This role will require flexibility and a proactive approach to resolving issues as they arise.Your key tasks and responsibilities will include:* Install, test, and maintain structured cabling systems including, Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat7.* Perform fault diagnosis and repair to ensure minimal downtime and disruption.* Ensure all cabling installations meet industry standards and project requirements.* Work closely with project managers and engineers to coordinate installation schedules and meet project deadlines.* Complete and maintain accurate installation documentation and test results.* Ensure all equipment and tools are maintained and used correctly.* Identify and resolve any technical issues during the installation process.* Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed at all times on site.The above is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessary by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation.
