Robert Half Technology are assisting a market leading online gaming platform to recruit a Infrastructure Project Manager on an initial 6 month contract

Role

Data Center Moves/Consolidations/Setups:

  • The Infrastructure Project Manager will plan, manage, and execute the migration, consolidation, or setup of data centers to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless transitions.
  • Oversee risk management, mitigation strategies, and contingency planning.

Disaster Recovery Planning, Setup, and Testing:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and testing of disaster recovery (DR) strategies and solutions.
  • Ensure DR plans align with business continuity objectives, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Conduct regular DR drills and audits to validate the effectiveness and readiness of the organisation's DR capabilities.

Cloud Transformations:

  • Manage the end-to-end process of migrating infrastructure services to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Drive cloud adoption strategies while ensuring scalability, security, and cost optimisation.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external providers to ensure seamless integration of cloud services with existing infrastructure.

Core Infrastructure Services Re-Architecture:

  • Lead re-architecture initiatives for core infrastructure services, including network, storage, compute, and security.
  • Assess current infrastructure environments and identify areas for improvement, performance enhancement, and cost savings.
  • Work with technical teams to design and implement modernised solutions that align with business needs.

Hardware Refreshes and Switch Upgrades:

  • Oversee the planning and execution of hardware refresh projects, including server, network, and storage components.
  • Manage switch upgrades to ensure improved performance, security, and scalability across the infrastructure.
  • Ensure minimal disruption to business operations during hardware replacements and upgrades.

Profile

  • The Infrastructure Project Manager will have a proven experience in managing complex IT infrastructure projects, including data center migrations, cloud transformations, and disaster recovery planning.
  • In-depth understanding of core infrastructure services such as networking, storage, servers, vitalisation, and security.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and associated migration strategies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with ITIL, Agile, or PMP methodologies is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively manage teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
