Leading Wealth Management company require a Investment Data specialist on a long term assignment.
The Investment Technical & Data team is a federated tech & data function which sits within the investment division to support workflows, data process, models and applications which are used to support the investment lifecycle (portfolio construction, portfolio monitoring, market analysis, investment risk monitoring, fund pricing, fund accounting etc).
The role is to support Investment data operations function where a number of roles have been seconded by bringing in an established BAU data/tech operative who is proactive and capable of assessing current state of controls and processes. Leading to identification of process efficiencies supported by documented policies, procedures & frameworks to enable a robust operational environment which can be monitored and supported by KPIs, automating where possible.
Additionally, the role will be instrumental in assessing, and resolving operational data issues by implementing data corrections, amending ETL processes and/or engaging with 3rd party vendors.
- Operational Processes: Proposal & documentation of policies & procedures to set out a robust & scalable operational environment
- Process Excellence: Streamline workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement change effectively
- Technical Proficiency: Analyse data, troubleshoot issues, and automate tasks to improve efficiency and reduce risk
This is not a typical Business or Data Analyst role. The client requires someone who understands the technical element (SQL / ETL , Snowflake etc) but has leaned towards Service Management. The key is to look at existing processes and update the processes in this busy environment and document them accordingly. You will need to have a deep understanding of common Asset classes / Investment / Fund operations .
