Due to growth of the Technical Teams a permanent job for a Binding Authorities Technician has arisen.Your new roleYour new job working as a Binding Authorities Technician will require you to create and manage the full binding authorities process. You will report to the Director and create Binding Authorities, Lineslips and facilities with assistance from brokers, BARs registration and upload to Atlas, submitting and signing Binding Authorities into Xchanging. Other duties include preparing, invoicing and sending out off-slips/certificates, assisting in creation and maintenance of client and broking documents, liaising with individual Syndicates Delegated Underwriting Team. Further duties include liaising with stakeholders, maintaining up to date and accurate documentation, assisting with the development, analysis and maintenance of comprehensive data, dealing with enquiries from Clients, Underwriters and third parties, understanding of Lloyd's Binding Authority QA tool. Also, ensuring Premium and Risk Bordereaux are sent to Underwriters, handling queries from Xchanging when signing Premium Bordereaux, liaising with Accounts department and Business Units, meeting all KPI's, and adhering to company policies, mandatory training and financial reporting requirements.What you'll need to succeedYour previous experience working as a Binding Authorities Technician will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will have proven experience fulfilling the day job of a technician and be able to maintain strong relationships with Clients and Underwriters. You will demonstrate commitment to personal and professional development, have an ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and have a detailed understanding of the process and procedures within the insurance market. You will have a proven track record in handling binding authorities from cradle to grave with experience working in Property and/or Casualty, competent IT skills, professional and personable, an ability to think laterally and solve problems using your own initiative and work effectively in a team. You will need strong prioritisation and organisational skills; to be self-motivated and able to work independently, knowledge of Eclipse/Sequel would be beneficial, basic technical knowledge of FCA regulations.What you'll get in returnYou'll be offered a competitive salary depending on experience and flexible working is available.
